The temps outside today in Maryland are unseasonable cool today and hopefully through the weekend (mid 70's F). It's a rare opportunity to be able to paint mini's outside in the summer and not have to race before the paint on the wet palette dries up.
I move the painting station outside this afternoon and plan to spend most of the weekend painting away on Dacians and Romans. My goal is to at least one unit of each done by Monday. We'll see how dedicated I am.
Have a nice weekend everyone.
Nice, very nice garden indeed. Lucky guy, I live in a flat in Madrid!

I can't see a jug of beer??
ReplyDeleteAwesome ! ... We have the same problem in Richmond, VA as well.
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome weather today though after a week of horrible heat
I feel a fit of envy coming on again! Of course I'd do the same here in Oz but I doubt I'd get much painting done before passing away from exposure!.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Doc
Although I have the opportunity to paint outside in the garden I never do that. There is always some wind that can blow the dust that hangs in the air on the just still wet painted minis.
ReplyDeleteHein - you maybe onto something, wind blown dust may be a great way to weather mini's!
ReplyDeleteI wish we had your weather here - we've been unseasonably cool and rainy here. I've always avoided outdoor painting due to the blowing dust (not to mention skeeters) problem.

Ah, the great outdoors. Indoors only for me when it comes to painting. Outside its either too hot, cold, windy or rainy not the mention SWMBO spotting me sitting around!!! I much prefer to hide in the loft.........besides, it has a beer fridge.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great sun deck though.
Looks very relaxing, that location. Docsmith, you gotta find the right tree to sit under.
