Wow Octobers already come and gone - as usual it was a glorious month here on the Chesapeake. Last saturday I sailed the Bucentaure over to Annapolis to get get her ready for winter storage.
The winds were perfect and a transit that normally takes 6 hours was done in just under 5!
Forgot to take pictures along the way but a few tied up at the dock.
A very nice day on the Bay.
I also voted last friday. What an awful election and set of options
The less said the better.....
Probably the final harvest from the garden as we'll have a few frosts in a row this week.
Oh well - onto November, or as we call it "Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge Figure Preparation Month" or "AHPCFPM" for short.
Any work needed (on the boat) this winter, Miles? Should I ask who you voted for (though as an outsider looking in you seem bereft of choice to say the least)?

ReplyDeleteLooks like a great day for a final sail f the season. The great thing about voting is that it gives you the oral right to complain about the outcome!
Cheers
Peter
Glad your preps for the big chill went well Miles. Always good to get out on the water.
ReplyDeleteAnd we HAVE to vote here - or pay a $250 fine. Its in our constitution as citizens' obligation rather than a freedom. Interesting to see different perspectives on democracy in action.
That final shot is worthy of a foodie magazine! Our main crop is apples and they have been very disappointing this year. Also can't believe its November already!
ReplyDelete"AHPCFPM" eh? Spreadsheets ahoy!
