Another 3 months of painting frenzy has come to a close. Challenge 8 was a blast and I'm really grateful to Curt and all the Challengers for a wonderful experience.
I set a new personal best, in terms of points, and managed to come in 3rd overall which is great.
To the left is a picture of everything I painted/built (including the terrain) during this challenge. I'm especially proud of the 15mm Roman and Sassanid armies - those were a lot of fun to paint up.
As the incomprehensible chart shows, I managed to put up 4,550 points this year, which is a good bit better that last year's 4,125!
I'll have some more thoughts about the challenge over the next few weeks
This blog will will contain my rather pedantic ramblings on my experiences within the miniature war gaming hobby. There will be informative how-to’s, thrilling battle reports and thought provoking editorials. I fully expect that history will one day view the contents of this blog on par with Homer’s Illiad or Newton’s Principalia. Or it's a complete waste of time.

Terrain Squares
This week in the Lair it's been an all out effort on terrain production - in the form of 1 foot square pieces from Sally 4th's new Terra Former line.
The rather garish white you see in the first picture is 1/8 inch polystyrene plastic sheet which forms the base for any water features.
I'll be doing some resin pours this weekend.
I'm very confident that I can hide the seems but that will be a bit of detail work to do while the resin sets.
The squares are held together with magnets and I'm really liking the possibilities these smaller sections open up.
Great product design job Sally 4th!
